Beautiful orange glowing quartzite calcite cluster.
Not many have been found in this quality. Calcite clusters are formed when pure silica solution is constantly exposed to very specific conditions of pressure and temperature over a long period of time. Alpine rock crystals, for example, are formed in hydrothermal solutions that cool by 1 °C in 40,000 years. In their growth phase they often take breaks during which other minerals are deposited on the crystal surfaces. This piece is free of deposits, which increases its value, and is framed in gold by the Nero Assoluto, whose surface is brushed at the front, creating a beautiful contrast.
The Nero Assoluto natural stone is one of the most elegant of its kind. The black stone is a gabro, a magmatic stone of plutonic origin. Also known as plutonite, these stones are formed deep inside the earth, mainly in the oceanic crust. Among the gabbros, the Nero Assoluto Zimbabwe is a rare plutonic rock in the composition of a gabbro-plutonic stone. The special feature here is that this stone appears almost exclusively in black and is covered with tiny minerals.
