Veria Green is a serpentinite that comes from Greece.
It has been used as a building material for thousands of years. Due to its strong dark green color combined with its light green to white veins , it looks almost like marble. Its unique, noble character and feeling of luxury comes from its green, parallel white stripes, the color spectrum of which ranges from snow-white (translucent) to almost black, all possible shades. Serpentinites are metamorphic rocks that form from the transformation of rocks (mainly peridotites) under the interaction with aqueous fluids, enormous pressure and an increased temperature in the lithospheric mantle.
