Brown Silk is a quartzite from Brazil with a uniform brownish base tone and a distinctive longitudinal structure.
This was created from inclusions of various minerals over millions of years under enormous pressure and heat, when round stones were flattened and stretched. This optical effect is often reminiscent of the texture of shiny brown silk. This is also what gives quartzite its name, which translates as brown silk. It has a beautiful brown-grey with wonderful shades. With its striped, slightly wavy grain and white spots made up of crystals, this is a stone that only nature can create. As if meteorites had hit the dust of the Gobi Desert. A natural spectacle that inspires admiration.
